Q: What size skip do you need?
A: We have a wide variety of skip sizes available from 6 to 40 cubic yards and we also supply enclosed lockable skips.
Q: Where can I have my skip dropped?
A: You can have it dropped on your driveway, garden or building site, basically any privately owned land. You will require a permit from your local council if placing a skip on a public highway which we can arrange.
Q: Are there any restrictions on what I can put into a skip?
A: Yes. You cannot use a skip to dispose of asbestos, plasterboard, fridge/freezers, car batteries, tyres, gas cylinders, paint tins (empty or full), fluorescent tubes, hazardous liquids,waste oils fuel etc television sets, or computer monitors. This is constantly changing in line with EA legislation, If unsure please phone us for details.
Q: Can asbestos removal be arranged?
A:We can supply a skip just for the purpose of asbestos only and there is a disposal charge per ton of asbestos. You must first register with environment agency and then contact us with your details so we can fill in the appropriate hazardous waste forms which are required by law.
Q:What is the price of a skip?
A: This depends on what is being put into it, where your location is and if you require a permit. Also there are weight limits of 2 to 3 tons on 20 and 40yrd skips and a charge will be issued for any weight that exceeds the limit,details of this can be given upon ordering the skip.
Q: How long can I keep the skip?
A: Skips can usually be kept on site for up to 10 days. However individual requirements can be accommodated dependent on availability.
Q: How do I book a skip?
A: Our staff will be happy to take your call from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
